BK 180 on 30g system?
I'm fed up with a year and a half of lacklustre performance from my Tunze 9002 on my ~30g system. I'll be upgrading tanks come September, and I already have my next skimmer - a Bubble King Mini 180.
Now I'm wondering if I might have any issues if I start using the BK 180 on the system now - 1, to replace the Tunze, and 2, to start breaking it in. Also, I should add I have a medium bioload for a tank this size, and I also vodka dose and I'm looking to switch to pellets, so I'd like to have better skimming than the ~50 ml I get every few days. |

I think you would definetly be over skimming if you ran it 24/7. But if you only run it for a little while after feedings or like every other day for a couple hours, you would probably see a pretty good improvement. I think that would strip everything out of your water since its rated for 100-200 gallons and you are going to use it on a 30g.
