Need help with controller choice

Thinking of getting an apex system, I want it to contorl (dim, simulate sunrise/sunset) of diy leds, my mp40s, and be able to turn on and off some things, show temp and salinity. The dc8 should be enough for me but what else do I need to purchase in addition to the apex system package.

You would only need the PM2 module in addition to the Apex package. The Apex can dim DIY LEDs out of box assuming you are using 0-10v dimmable drivers. You might want to purchase the light dim cables....but DIY a set is super easy. All you need is an ethernet cable and continuity tester. If you search the apex forum, there is the wiring label for the ethernet.

I believe that you will need a second energy bar 8 unless you have a smaller tank and truly don't have the need. Some plugs are bigger sized and you may fine that you are blocking two outlets when you have that piece of equipment plugged in. Also, I would suggest getting the WXM if you want fine tune controls of your MP40s (assuming they are the W model) from your Apex.
