storing a spankin new RO/DI

Just purchased a new RODI from BRS while on sale. My concern is I'm still in the process of slowly buying equipment for my upcoming system, and this will in all likelihood not be used for another few months... I want to keep the RO membrane healthy during that time. From the last time I had a rodi system, I remember something about preservatives that need flushed out before using... is this sufficient to store the system with? Should I remove the membrane and store in water? Should I hook it all up and make a gallon or two of water every other week? FWIW it's a 75gpd Filmtec. thanks
