can someone ID this fish please i cant find what kind it is...

Probably but the min tank size doesn't fit my bill...

That's a nice male in the photo...it is indeed Odontanthias borbonius (AKA blotched anthias). You'll also see them ID'd as Holanthias borbonius, which is now considered an invalid binomial name.

We were fortunate enuff to keep a trio for several years. One nice thing with them is that if you keep a trio, they won't pick each other off like many of the other anthias species. They're big, bold fish once they get established, and will do a bit of "bickering", but it's more of a pecking order thing than out and out warfare, and it's always confined to conspecifics.

Our male did decide to "try" one of our fuzzy dwarf lionfish, but all the lion had to do was show it some dorsal spines, and that was all that ever happened.
