Live rock frag shelf... input needed.

I'm trying to make some natural looking frag shelves out of live rock. I got a few pieces cut flat so they will sit nicely on the glass and I'm drilling some holes now for the plugs. but I'm wondering what you guys think would be the ideal way to attach them? I'm thinking magnets right now but not sure what type of magnets to get or if the metal would be reef safe?

Here's one of the pieces I just cut.

Any input is appreciated!

The flat sides will be against the glass?

With the weight, I would use magnets off of a couple old korallias. I have a couple colonies glued to these hanging on my back glass. Very strong. I thought about doing the same as you are doing to add some depth dimension to my tank. Make the rock work look like it was cut by the pane of glass

You can also use magfloats.

you can buy epoxy coated magnets in all shapes and sizes as well as pull strengths. i'd drill a few holes in the rock and use an epoxy to glue them into the rock.
