Only 4 left in stock! But yet no reviews, sorry I would let someone else be the first to review this product because I do not like cheap made fixtures.

Yeah that is my concern too.. sometimes you can get an inexpensive one that works really well. I'll likely go with a more expensive option just so I can be sure I'll be happy with it. I'm doing the same thing reeffraj is doing, trying to find a 250w MH fixture that is good at a reasonable price. There are a lot of expensive things in this hobby, so anywhere you can save $100+ and have the same results is a good thing.

Avoid any fixture that won't list what kind of ballasts and bulb they actually use. Typically total junk.

HERE is a nice fixture that is reputable , and BRS has great customer service.
http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/hamilt...with-leds.html Many of the cheaper units have poor quality reflectors . So the actual light penetration in the water column is minimal. Even though the fixture is rated 250w. |

So.. I prefer the double ended, you know whatever bulb you get it's going to work. That's a magnetic pulse ballast right?
http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2007-03/sj/index.php I also thought the double ended ones gave out more light but I'm not seeing that. |

Look into Aqua Medic on their own site, look for the refurb units, some real good deals there, or at least their used to be.

In general the DE bulb has more PAR, but the SE (Mogul) bulb gives you the option to run the popular Radium bulb or Phoenix bulb. Either way your not going to have a problem with PAR . If this is for the 75 Gal tank. |
