anyone know the max distance of an air pump?

so my up flow ATS is working great on my 90 reef i am thinking of adding one to my 20L that has an outbreak of HA.

so I need to know what is the max distance head pressure of air pumps.
I have the fusion quite power 700.
looking up the specs it says this:
5.6 L/M 22.08 kPa
I would like to drive my 2nd ATS about 15 -18' across the room.

I am guessing it should do the trick right?

The pressure will transfer but not necessarily the air flow. Air is a fluid, so resistance is determined by the distance, the diameter of the pipe/tube and the amount of flow.

hey sleepy,
yeah doing some research I did find that out. just trying to see if I would need another air pump.

i guess I can always try it and if it does not work get another one.

thinking about HOB skimmer vs upflow ATS trying to get a price point so I can decide.

The total air flow will depend on the pressure, flow, distance and diameter of the tube. Having a long tube/large volume will make it take longer for the pump to come up to pressure. What kind of pump are you using and how much pressure/air flow are you trying to achieve?
