Yellow watchman goby not looking right

I have had this little guy for a few years now. Over the past month I noticed that he had begun to get black strips. He was still eating and acting normal so I thought that I was just a maturity thing. I also read a few threads that thought the same thing. But over the past week he has been losing his yellow around his head. The front of his face is still yellow tho. Also getting black around his jaw lines.

Any input would be awesome. Also I did not buy him. Came from a fellow reefer that was getting out of the hobby. She had her tank set up a 4 or so years. So I have no idea how old he is.
