Lighting frag tank help

So I going to be running a double low boy setup (zoomed 50gal breeders), But I need to know if I should do a 6 bulb T5 setup or 8 bulb T5 setup per tank?

each Tank is 4ft long and 2ft wide.

A 6 bulb setup was plenty for my 75gal tank. Grew everything.

Curious how far off the water did you run you lights? and any specific bulb combo?

I would say it was 4 to 5 inches from the water. It has been several years so I don't remember the exact bulb combo. I'm thinking it was 3 blue plus, 1 purple, 1 actinic and 1 10k.
