Cant find skimmer

Okay i have doing some searching when its available, but that is far and few between. I have been looking at skimmers and cant find one to fit my set up real well (AG 55G RR w/ 30G sump FOWLR ) For now, but thinking coral down the road. Most i have found are for 250 and really large set ups I dont need one that big, I know bigger the better but i think that is a bit overkill. I dont want to get a coral life superskimmer. I want something of good quality that alsot wont cost me 700 dollars.

Thanks

An Aquamedic Turboflotor might be a good choice. The price is reasonable and the performance is solid.

SP160, www.aquatraders.com or Typhoon by D&D. Both under 100 dollars and both will work well on your tank. You can look at the filtration forum for more about these skimmers.

It seems like the threads deal mostly with modding it to get it up to a reasonable performance level. The pump alone should cost as much as that whole skimmer does.

You might consider one of the Aqua C models ... urchin or one of the EV series ... proteinskimmer.com

I have a good one for sale for your size.

ETSS Evolution 500 with remote collection cup. Built like a tank. Asking $150 plus shipping.

Most of the modding is done by the guys using it on a 160gal. A couple times in the post chevegan, who started the thread says it will work just fine for a smaller capacity tank with no mods.

Thanks for the info, also sorry about asking the same newbie question over and over but i was not about to dig through thousands of pages of threads to find the answer. I wish the search function was not down so much.
