Talking blenny in pump!!

One of my Tunzes stopped working yesterday so I switched it off before going to work and when I came back I found that my blenny had chosen it as his new home!!!
What freaks me out though is that I switched the Tunze back on to see if it would work before realising that he was inside it!!!!! He does get right inside so you can't see him at all---luckily the Tunze is well and truly jammed......I know its shockingly dirty and it needs a good clean............

This is exactly why I do not advocate putting pumps on timers or using tide wavemaking effects, where pumps are off for a few hours then on for a few. My pumps are only off for a few seconds before they are on again.

lol!

my midas blenny has been very weird recently. it lives/sleeps under a coral in a rock hole normally. but recently i've found it in 3 places:

1. sitting in my veggie clip. i had to push him out

2. sitting on top of my mag float

3. sticking to the edge where overflow meets glass at the top of the tank

mine regularly lies on top of the mag-float and perches on the veggie clip! He used to reverse into a vertical pipe on the back wall of the tank at night for a long time and also regularly lies around inside an open oyster shell which is covered in mushrooms!! Can just see his head poking out through the shrooms!!

Soak that thing in white vinegar it will help out.

Good the pump didn't go on or your blenny would have been reef food.

Nice pic.

so cute! what kind of blenny is it? he looks different than any i;ve ever seen. My old blenny used to curl up into a large snail shell so you couldn't see him at all. My clown used to do it too.

Wow never dreamed this could happen,I'm going to work on mine.
My wife would kill me if I used one of her fish for food.
