i would like to put a fair amount of soft coral in my tank. Do i need to get better lighting for my tank or is the amount that the stock lights produce adiquate?
Thanks once again. |

The stock is more than likely fine for pretty much all softies. What lights do you have?

Stock light on the oceanic bio cube are 2 x 36 watts. One 10k daylight and 1 actinic. (total 72 watts)
They are good for softies, I used them for about 6 months. I recently upgraded to 4 x 36 watts. 2 10k daylights and 2 actinics. (total 144 watts) It made a huge difference in the growth of my monti-cap. Waiting to see what it does to my one branch of Acropora that I am experimenting with. Have noticed some color morphing on some of my zoas since installing the upgrade. Like what I am seeing.
