Anyone use this Tunze return pump? Eheim 1260?

I am looking at the smaller one. I really need a pump that is reliable at restarting for power flickers when I am out of town. Mag drives are becoming the bane of my tank's existence. It is the last/smaller pump on the page.

How about the eheim 1260? Reliable restart?

The Tunze Rec. pumps seem to be a bit pricey but Eheim pumps are very reliable and many people use them for returns and pumps on their skimmers.

I have an Eheim 1260, and that thing never fails to restart. I finally took it out when I moved recently, and I was shocked to see the calcium build up. The entire inside was coated, the magnet was coated, the shaft was stuck to the magnet with calcium. Even through all that it NEVER failed to start. In the past I used Mag pumps, and those POS's would fail to start with even a small amount of calcium buildup. Eheims are bulletproof and will run reliably for years. I just purchased a 1250 for my new smaller tank.

I've had an Eheim 1260 in my tank for the last 6 months and I love it, no problems at all and you can't even hear it. I would totally recommend it to anybody.
