Montipora not doing so well. Help/suggestions
I rarely ever post but my montipora has been troubling me very much recently and i am looking for some help. It is orange branching and i got it as a 3" frag awhile back. It was doing phenomenal, growing to about 10" from left furthest tip to right furthest tip. Around june, i was doing tank maintenance and my hand smacked into it, causing a few branches to fall off. I was shocked at how easily the thing just fell apart. Around the same time, i noticed it bleaching a little, turning a little white, etc. Now, it still continues to bleach in certain areas but looks normal in others. When i first placed it in the tank, it was under about 200W of powercompacts. About 6 months ago, i replaced my fixture with a T5 Teklight and a single 96W PC. It is a 50g breeder. Other than the lighting, nothing else has changed. Any ideas or tips? I would hate to lose such a magnificant coral that was at one point close to a foot in length.

Im relatively new at this, but something that has saved my butt quite a bit is testing EVERYTHING. That usually gives me an idea whats going on in my tank.
Also, doesnt montipora require alot of lighting? I have been wanting to keep them but i was told atlast 5-6 watts per gallon. Since you have a 50 breeder, I think you would also need everything more distributed.
