skylight above tank
ok ive been considering adding a skylight above my 150 for some time now.
i was wondering what the pros and cons to doing this would be? also if i did it would be a tubular skylight, in the middle of my tank. would this throw the spectrum of my tank off (i run 14 k pheonix) dose anyoen have experiences with natural sunlight over an sps reef? also the skylight i was looking at had an acrylic lense, what is the best cover to have to allow the most useful light, do i need to purchase the skylight from a greenhouse store or any one will due? and if i added a skylight who would this compare to a halide on a sunny day? any info or advice woudl be great, i was inspired to do natrual light by seeing a clip from anthony calfo!

I'm sure there would be spectral problems with clear glass. However, you could alway's use a color filter glass. Installing 6" windows just above your tank may be (almost) affordable. I know Hoya glass has some very wavelength-specific glasses, although there are might cheaper options...
