Need advice......
I have 150 gallon tank. Currently I use both compact flourescent and VHO lighting. On the VHO side I have space for 3 bulbs. I am not sure what the proper mix would be. In the tank I do have leathers, derosa clams, hammers, brain and mushroom corals. What would you reccommend those 3 bulbs should be? The compacts are a mix of blue and white. thanks...

I assume that your tank is 6-feet long and can accomodate 72" length bulbs. What lamps are you running now?
For 72" VHO lamps, I recommend bulbs that have the 180-degree internal reflectors. UV Lighting's "Super Actinic R" is widely used for inducing coral fluorescence. Here are some specifications: http://www.uvlco.com/aqualamps.htm For T5HO lamps, I recommend individual parabolic reflectors. Last edited by pjf; 09/29/2007 at 01:43 PM. |
