sump design question
I am designing a sump for a 55 gal. reef and have a question. The sump has to be in two parts, connected by pipes, due to a center brace in the cabinet. The first chamber will be for the skimmer and I was considering a chamber between the skimmer and the fuge for one or two media reactors. However, I want to leave enough room in the skimmer chamber for an upgrade (and thus larger required space). So, my question:
Is there any reason why I can't put a media reactor in the same chamber as the skimmer? That way, I have extra space for future skimmer upgrades. Thanks in advance for your help.

I dont see why you could not. Most Media reators can have their out put directed where ever you would like it to go.
