I would get the ER anyday. The EV can be very finicky to tune in.

I'd get the Euro-reef. My RS-80 honestly used to be pretty loud, but it's quieted down a ton, and now I barely hear it. It's easy to tune, and doesn't draw that much wattage. The AquaC is finickier, draws more wattage, and is louder than the ER.

I went with ER several years ago due to the reasons trmiv mentioned and have been happy with my choice.

You will be happier with the EuroReef.

I really love my ER80 and I own an RS100. So i have two sedra3500 pumps from ER. Both are loud. You will want to get suction cups to place under the pump or a silicon pad. You can also build an air silencer to help quite down the air intake. A little effort goes a long way to quieting these things down. But compared to my Turboflotor 1000 that it replaced, it is loud.

OK...here's one vote for the EV120.

Mine has been quiet and hassle free for about a year and a half. I'm running mine with a Mag 5. I found it very easy to dial in and the foam production has been consistent with no further adjustments.
