glass baffles

i have found it hard to find 1/4" thick glass for me to make baffles for a sump design(so far all i find is 1/8") can i not just use sealant to seal two sections of 1/8" together thus giving me a strong thickness or is this crazy

Not sure you'd need it. I've got 1/8 inch acrylic and glass baffles in my sump and no worries yet. If it's sealed in place I'd say you'll be fine. Presuming you're not building some obscenely large sump.

Have you been to a glass shop? But, I wouldn't worry about... The pressure is equal on both sides of the glass in a sump so you don't need it to be real thick.

Yup, I used 1/8" glass on my last sump. Be carefull installing... it's a little brittle. But once it's sealed in your sump, you're fine.

If you absolutely want thicker glass, call a glassshop. They'll cut it right to size.
