I just purchased a new octopus nw 200 it is a nice skimmer for money ,The problem is i cant seem to get to produce a good foam ,it has been running 4 days on a my 220 fowlr that is 3 years old , I was wondering if there is something i'm missing or a mod to the pump that has to be done that someone has done and it worked . Or toss it and go back to my old reliable. any help would be great. Thanks

Here is the Nw200 to 40 SCFH thread...it has all that you need IF you want to mod your skimmer.

But, you do need to let it break in for a couple of weeks

4 days on a my 220 fowlr that is 3 years old.....

Mine took a good month on a fully stocked reef, 100 gallon. It will take sometime, I thought the same thing at first but trust me you'll be glad you bought it.

yeah a good solid 2 weeks is needed. People have also done warm water soaks, as well as vinegar to help speed up this process.

I would guess that you will need a couple of weeks before you see any good skimate.
