You want a heater too and you'll have to top off.

Think of the bucket as a tank and top off/change as per normal.

May I ask why you are getting out of reefing?

for the moment i dont have time to keep a fish tank but i can def take care of some rock in a can.
im remodeling my house and there is also a lot of dust and junk flying around plus i dont want to break the tank taking down walls and bla bla bla.
i just dont want it to crash dont have fish i just have snails and crabs with rock.
