dead emerald crab
went home for lunch today and we found one of our emerald crabs dead. anyone have any idea what might have happened?

that's what we thought it might have been but kevin fished him out with his bare hands and mushed him (gross). said it was more than just an empty shell.

Tough call with inverts:
Old age? High nitrates? Trouble molting? I noticed that I had better luck with inverts if I dose iodine. I use a cap full in my auto top off every other week. |

haven't had 'em but about 2 weeks. nitrates are about 20 (max).

no we allegedly have 5. we already fished out one "carcass" that we're pretty sure was just the molting. but it's hard to keep up with 5 of these guys..
