Frag tank questions

I am planning to set up a 20 gallon long tank for a frag grow out/ QT tank, I will not have any substrate, or live rock, just the pvc and eggcrate structure. I will be running a big (rated for 75 gallons) bio wheel filter hung on the back. I will either be running a ton of T5's over the tank, or a halide if i can get my hands on one for a good price.

My question is -
-Do pods and such not colonize in tanks like this?
-Do I need other types of filtration?
-And where can you find this damn egg crate?!?! ive looked everywhere.

Anything else you feel is important in starting a frag tank please let me know.

I appreciate the help.

Eggcrate

Look in the lighting department. It will be with the panels that are used in suspended ceilings.

Good luck!
