live framing

i read the live framing article in the Marine Fish and Reef 2008 annual.has anyone here tried this.
i was thinking of something similar that i am sure others have tried.i am going to[unless you all talk me out of it]build several multi level pvc structures that will cradle my lr.the lfs suggested mixing living rock with lace rock.i thought if i used the pvc it could serve as a sub structure to support the lr while allowing me to stack the base rock against the legs of the "scaffolding".if i planned this right i should be able to make a couple of caves and a canyon.if anyone else has done this i would love to see some pictures if possible.thanks.

There is a guy in New Albany, OH that has a coral farm and he aquacultures LR, lace rock and raises corals and clams. His LR is pretty cheap but very good. He uses large vats and long, shallow tanks.

Here's his website. Worth looking at: http://www.reefsystems.com/
check out the tab "Farm pictures"

I think he's talking about PVC supports for the rock in the display-- framing, not "farming".

A lot of people use PVC as a structure under the rocks. Take a look at some of the past tanks of the month. Most of them are larger tanks and use PVC as you have in mind.
