live rock?
I have live rock curing in a bucket. It's been about a week and a half. I was told that I should put a piece of live rock in from my existing tank to seed the new rock. Will this make a difference?

Yes....If the other rock is fully cured, it will help speed the cycle up. But it still wont happen over night...

Not sure if I understand your posts.
If your curing live rock .. you don't need to add LR from your show tank to help the process. Seeding is a concept where people use live rock to seed "base rock". |

precured rock is not cured rock...just means it has had some time for die off to happen but not all of it, cured rock is when the rock has completely rid of the die off...i bought 90lbs of pre-cured for my 55g and its been a month and finally is on the brink of finishing the cycle. and adding matured live rock will probably not help seed the precured rock, however it would help speed up the cycling process because it is already full of beneficial bacteria that will help speed up the nitrogen cycle

You got uncured LR. LR is cured or not, no such thing as "pre" cured. Just means it might not be as bad/dead as some. Your better off using water from an established tank when you do your water changes on the curing LR. Are you using any lights or water movement? Heat ? I find I get the best results when I set my "cure" tank up just like I do for a "real" tank.
