Marineland Skimmers? Any good?
Before I go dump money on one of these has anyone heard good or bad things about the Marineland Skimmers? Looking to use on a Nano around 30 gallons.
As seen here: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...5&pcatid=18985

I would skip it. Historically I don't like Marineland's equipment. To much useless crap on them. Look into an Octopus 110. Very simple design and not much to go wrong.

Octopus 110? Had not seen those. Nice choice. Compact size as well. Thanks.

A remora would be much better for your 30 gallon... just my 2 cents....

Remora would be better than the Octopus? I have run a remora once before on a 58 gallon and found it to be a decent skimmer. However, I switched to a lifereef and it was vastly better than the remora.
I could run the remora I suppose. Just thought the columnar style was better, needle wheel as well.
