Skimmer doesnt bubble as high up??

Ok I'm new to this. But I set my skimmer up HOB Coralife super skimmer 220. Started bubbling like mad for a few days. It seemed to be adjusted right with the bubble coming half way up the center tube in the collection cup.

Well I just looked over and seems as though the bubble have dropped way down again into the main chamber, not even coming us as high as the collection cup.

Why is it doing this? Water level didn't come since yesterday. Didn't change the mix or anything??? Is this normal?

The stupid skimmer is fluxuating so much how can the bubble stabilize? Even when I'm not sdjusting it it'll go all the way to the top, then drop all the way back down to the bottom and not stay in the same place while bubbling.

coral life.

I don't know how long your CCS skimmer has been running.
but according to instructions when 1st getting the skimmer to work you must open the flow valve all the way open and must adjust the valve on top (red)......which controls the microbubbles
going into tank
also your skimmer might be working, but you might not have a large bioload for the skimmer to actually skim anything..
I had the small CCS 65 and I found it worked best doing a mod
cheers.
