How long are unopened flake foods good in storage (seal unbroken)?

how long are frozen foods good for in the freezer??

how long is salt good for in unopened storage buckets (seal unbroken)

Iam considering buying a years woth of foods(dry/frozen) and a years supply of salt at one time on line..is this feasable considering storage times??????

yeah, if the food is kept fully frozen and the salt is kept closed up and indoor conditions until used I think it would be fine.

ok what if you get 180gallon bucket of salt.. say I pre mix the water in a 30 gallon tank or garbage can.. what about the rest of the salt.. I do a 20% change on my 90 gallon tank once a month or so that 180 gallon bucket is going to last a while. A) if I get small bags I get ripped off.. b) I don't get a handy .. did I say HANDY bucket?

if kept dry I think that would be fine. Kept outside with the lid half open in the rain and snow, probably not.

In my case, I do water changes of 160 gallons per month minimum so it is not really a problem. I have a 250 gallon vat of salt water ready for water changes that is kept warm and circulating.
