Question on Turbofloater 1000 multi

Can you hook these up to where they sit on the floor or platform and run hoses or pvc line to the sump and back to the sump? If so, can you explain a good way to install it onto a 100 gallon rubbermaid plastic stock tank? I am using it as a sump.

i have mine sitting in the sump just like the regular turboflotor

What did you use to sit it on and keep it stable? Anyone else have any suggestions for using it on a 100 gallon rubbermaid plastic stock tank?
