Help with ich.

Hi there,

I recently bought a pair of blue cheek gobys and a bicolor blenny.
Anyway i haven´t seen a case of ich infected fishes since i first set up the tank. I saw a few spots on my regal tang today so here are the questions...

1. do you think that the those new fish could have hosted it? if so, why isn´t one of them infected?

2. how can i treat the disease?

1) ich inhabits the gills first, and is only visible on the fish after infection is well established.
1) There is a many week(8 I think, may be wrong) incubation period and cycle from egg to death.

2) There are cures, QT the fish quickly and hope the others don't get it. You can remove all fish from the tank to QT and dose the QT, then wait 8 weeks while the eggs in the main tank die off from starvation.

I'm sure many of the more knowledgeable keepers here will chime in.

although im sure there are 2342343 other people that will disagree with what i am saying i will tell you anyway... it is merely just experience i've had...

I added garclic juice to the frozen food i have been feeding, and it has been months without a dead fish or a visual of a parasite.
