Question Hair algae just pulled right off. Does this indicate...

After switching to RO / DI for the last month or so my algae problem is getting better. Still on the glass, but not that thick, dark green junk that I scraped off.

There was hair algae over a lot of my live rock. I just reached in the other day and pulled off a big clump. It just came right off and hasn't come back.

Is this an indication that my water is no longer going to help promote the nuisance algaes?

I don't know if I would go that far, hair algae is stubborn and can *seem to grow from nothing, even though we know this isn't true.
