RODI Connector Question
The input [red tube] tube came out of the connector and sprayed water all over my garage today, and I'm trying to find out how I can make a tighter / more secure connection.
I have added a float valve onto my RODI. The faucet / hose is on all the time. When the float reaches the top, it blocks the output, and the water stops. BUT for some reason the RED tube [input water from hose] slipped out of the connector and I had water running EVERYWHERE b/c the hose was still on. My question is if there are more "SECURE" "TIGHTER" connectors other than the typical JASCO RO connectors, and if so where do I get them? It would be nice if I had something to CLAMP around the tube and then go into the fitting, that way it would be nearly impossible for it to come loose. Any suggestions would be great. Pls see picture below. THANKS |

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and get a 1/4" MIPx1/4" John Guest quick fitting to replace the compression fitting you now have. Probably be able to find it in both a straight or a 90 degree bend like you presently have for less than $5-$6 or so.
