Hello,
I have a different brand and no experience with this unit, but I'm a busybody and will pipe up anyway. If you buy that unit, you will also need a feed pump like an Aqua Lifter ($13), a CO2 regulator ($100 with solenoid), a CO2 bottle filled ($90), and media ($15) at a minimum. This is still cheaper than most and may work very well. With all reactors you need to watch over them because of excess CO2. That is not your question, but I hope it helps anyway. Good luck

If its quality/functionality is anything like the Coralife Super Skimmers, it's a huge waste of money and a piece of crap. I've never used a Calc reactor, much less a Coralife, but there's a reason it's so cheap . . . With some things, I believe price is no indicator of quality/functionality, but based on my experience with a Super Skimmer I am of the opinion that Coralife equipment is cheap because it sucks.
My guess is you'd buy this thing, buy all the stuff you need as stated above, and you'd end up wishing you'd saved your money for a Deltec, Koralin, etc. |
