Isolated hair algae on trumpet corals

It starting to kill each head individually. It is only on this piece of coral, I know I need to get to the root of the problem and I know how to do this process... but I'm looking for ideas on what I might be able to do for this individual coral?
would an iodine dip help? freshwater dip?

I have had this problem before and didn't act quickly enough to save the coral. If you leave it alone, the heads will eventually all die. My recommendation is to frag off the healthies looking part, remove any visible algae, and move it to a grow out tank with perfect water. Remember to feed it.

ok... can I frag it by breaking it off or do I have to cut it with a saw?
