...butterfly dying...
so I've had a long-nose butterfly for less than a week and it just started showing signs of being pretty sick. He is swimming very low, almost crawling, in the tank and doing slow painful looking rolls...there may be one suspicious-looking white dot which could mean ich, but would he visually be doing so poorly with one dot...i know im being extremely vague, but all i know is what I can see. any suggestions?
Boy have I had bad luck with fish...this is my first butterfly and its on its way out. The first goby I bought died within a day...my clowns are the only fish I've had that are doing great. And yes my tank has been fully cycled for months and the parameters are perfect. This just makes me want to get out of the hobby...ahhh! ha |

Butterflyfish are difficult fish to take care of and are picky eaters. If you have quarentine tank then i would move it there ASAP. A pic might help too.
