I'm considering adding a flame angel to my 125, but have a few questions first. Who all has one in their full out reef? Do they mess with your zoos at all?

I had one and it didn't touch anything....zoas, xenia, gsp, sps, ect. I guess it would all depend on the fish. You will just have to get one and keep an eye on it.

My flame angel is not a problem in my mixed tank.

I've had several, and each one has been a good tank mate for everything. I have heard that they can nip at corals, but I have not had that experience.

Just beware, you may have to go fishing for it. There's really no guarantee, I've had bad success with them before.

I have had a flame angel in the tank for a couple of years.I had to remove the fungia(plate corals)I had in the tanks,as it was constantly nipping them severly. It has also had a go at one of the deresa clams in the tank, but has never(that I've seen)gone for the other clams in the tank(one of which is another deresa). It does also occassionally go for the odd zoanthid, but not to the point of doing any real damage. When I move house & breakdown the tank, the flame angel will not be re-introduced.Personally if you value your corals more than the fish, then I would not take the risk.HTH & good luck with the fish if you do get one-they are beautiful fish.
