Is this enough light
I have a 75 gallon tank with a bunch of different types of coral, sps, lps, clam. I just updated my pc lights to T5 lights. I am running a Ice Cap 660 retro kit with 4 48" bulbs and then a 2 bulb 36" retro kit. For bulbs, I am running 2 blue bulbs atnics in the 36" retro kit, and then for the 48", I am running 2 pure atnics, 1 6500k, and an aquablue + (I belive it is 15000k) bulb. All bulbs are geissman.
Is this enough lights, or should I change some of the bulbs. The reason I went with the retro kits, was becuase the Ice cap only has one plug, so I put it on one timer, and then the 2 bulb on its own timer to start an hour before the other ones come on, and goes off an hour after the other ones go out. Thanks for the help. |

You have enough light potential in terms of the number of bulbs considering the 660 ballast and the additional two 36" bulbs. You just have to see how your corals do. The Blue bulbs have good par, the 6500K obviously is a high par bulbs, and the aquablue has good par. The pure actinics are the lowest par T5's. You can always use two 36" pure actinics and then put four higher par 4 foot bulbs on the 660 and you shouldnt have any worries at all.
