my new angler

got this little guy a few months ago...hes a clown wartskin angler. smaller than a baseball.

Great little fish - he will change colors around his environment so if you have more red rocks in there, you will see his colors starting to change

that pic is from my phone. got way better picks that i will upload tonight. anyways yes they do change colors drastically. this ain't my first dance with frogfish/anglers. got another one four or five years ago. his name is shaggy! its a shaggy angler. here's some pics of him from a while ago. hes grown about 20% bigger . ill post new pics of him too.

this guy swims a lot at night. during the Day he takes regular "runs" around the tank. but at night hes swimming constantly. my wart skin angler (aka randell floyd) does'nt swim as much. he does take some "runs" during the day and at night but maybe 5 or 6 times verses seeing "shaggy" swimming all the time at night.

this pic was taken a few hours after lights went off. i flicked the actinics to take a pic. he immediatly began "fishing" with his lure when he saw me. he knows the hand that feeds him. lol. anyways you cant get a clear idea of his color with just actinics on but if u look around his head you can see his lure dislpayed.

I see the A. hispidus, but the other looks more like an A. pictus from that angle, but it's impossible to say for sure without further detail. Many places sell A. pictus as A. maculatus.
