4" is pretty small compared to the 6" if its the only tang i would say maybe but not happily, the 6" is a wayyyyy better option,,,,,, but if the depth on the 150 is better maybe that will spare u a little... good luck

Probably not happy a happy life for that fish, but in all likelihood he wouldn't have been happy in the 125 either. That's a huge fish, and they get big fast.

Custom - OR you can bring him to my place when you get the 150 and see him whenever you want. lol...
Seriously though, given that it's already 6" and probably growing at a pretty good clip, he could get pretty stressed in that tank. They swim soooo fast when they're comfortable and it's hard to do that even in a six foot tank. There's a pretty big grey area between "not recommended" and "can't be done" though. I saw a vid on youtube of an SPS tank with massive flow and the tangs were swimming big time just to stay in one place. Sad to see the ones going stir crazy in a tranquil box of water though...

i was just thinking of how to put flow in it and i would do 2 vortechs and 2 hydor magnums(have one) or shuch plus the returns. no closed loop this time. and the tank would be penisula(god help me on spelling please!) and the rock work would be towers so there will be room to move but will it be enough? i just got him amonth ago and i dont want to get rid of him but it may be another year befor i even start this...i wanna get the pumps first cuz they cost so much. the tank is the easy part along with the lighting. |
