Six line is a Excellent choice! They do a good job of picking parasitic snails and look awesome, good luck!

I don't really want to overstock.......so I'm not exactly sure how many fish, CUC I can get in a 16 Gallon.

I really want the 6-line wrasse and perhaps one more fish and that would be it I guess.......hubby and I are already planning a 55 Gallon tank - although it keeps growing ins size each time we talk about it!!! This hobby is too expensive to be addictive........must control oneself.

So for the other fish I was thinking a Royal Gramma maybe........?

I'd really love a Mandarin Dragonet but I know that my tank is too small and they are really difficult to look after so that's a no no!!!

never had 1 myself maggie, but there was a thread here not so long ago and basically a few reefers suggested they can be quite nasty, if so the gramma should you get 1 will probably battle with the wrasse in your 16 gallon

sixlines are a 50/50 shot. i had 1 that was a perfect reef fish and never bothered anything. some others have had the same results and then there are the others who have had bad experiences with them.

if you want a sixline i would recomend maybe adding 1 more clown to make a pair and then the sixline. but to be honest sixlines should really have a tank min of 20g.

I personally do not like the gramma..if it is betweem the two I would take the sixline anyday! The sixline has great personality and will be so much fun to watch! I agee with guygettnby in adding one more clown. your tank can handle at least these three fish.
I have had my sixline for almost a year, and it is so much fun to watch it dance around in the tank! I also have to clowns and everyone gets along just fine....goodluck!

I have owned both...the 6 line in my 12 gal and a gramma in my 30 gal. Both are model citizens..not sure about putting them together though. If its between the 2 I would choose the wrasse, I love to watch it cruise the rocks looking for pods

In my office I have a 14 gal BioCube. I have 1 Clown, 1 Six Line Wrasse & 1 Royal Gramma. Everyone gets along just fine. However, if anything....the Royal Gramma seems to be the Bully at times.
