can I use pluming tape?
my sedra 3500 pump end cap o-ring is worn letting bubbles out can I tape around that or will the salt water ? it up?

Teflon tape is intended to seal threaded connections and is not a good substitue for a new o-ring. The tape will tear and move when you try to reassemble the pieces.
If you remove the o-ring you can take it to an auto parts store, hardware store, or industrial supply (like Graingers). Most of those places will have a good o-ring selection and might be able to match the size. O-rings are made to standard sizes. If you are just looking for a bandaid you can use silicone but it will have to cure for 24 hours. Slicone releases gas as it cures. You don't want that gas in your water. |

I would look for a new O-ring, they are cheap & not that hard to find.
