how many gallons is the sump?
how much lr in sump and tank? how much (depth) and what grain size of sand in tank? deep enough for NNR? what kind of skimmer? you need clean water for sps test kits for water quality

Do you want to go BB? You could either take out the sand and put down starboard or just put the rock on the glass but nows the time to do it before you put any critters in the tank. For SPS you probably want more flow than just two mj mods, maybe have the two mj mods on each side of the tank pointed at each other and then get 2 more pumps (either mj mods, K4, Seios, or whatever) and have them on the back blowing towards the front or on the sides with the mj's blowing towards the rocks. Also do you want a calcium reactor or will you be dosing 2-part or will the 2-part be on a dosing pump?

no BB i only use black sand in my tanks, i hate BB and white sand. it has alot of flow, i can drop something in there and it will just throw it around like crazy. i have hige pieces of lr in there so there isnt to much water to push around. and i have a 3000gph cl ii know i have plenty of flow, and that is what i was asking with my 55g i could just add cal everyweek, on bigger tanks idk what to do. i dont have room in my stand for a cal reactor. so it will probably be dosing but dont know how i should go about it.

Sorry I didn't see where you said you had a closed loop, now I see it.
A 90 wont take up that much cal and alk, could you fit 2 of these under your stand? http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/Jugs-a...duct_info.html If you can then you can use one for alk one for cal and then get some dosing pumps like this, http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/Plumbi...duct_info.html Or this, http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/Plumbi...duct_info.html or you could just get one dosing pump and dose kalk or just dose the 2-part your self with out the dosing pump.

Oh, hmm, could you put two 5g tanks in a closet, basement, garage... and use a dosing pump to pump it to the tank?
