Questions about Duncans

Hey guys,
Just wanted to know more about Duncans.
I thought I needed to move the placement of this coral.
Before the coral was more compact and the tenticals were short but skinny.

Here is the pic of the coral before I moved it. Sorry that it is blurry!

After the move the coral is three times the size. Heads everywhere and the tenticals are large but skinny. The heads are expanded almost as though they are looking for light.

Here is a pic of the way it is now.

Is this normal looking?
Should it be closer to the MH's?
Should it receive stronger water flow?

Thanks All

What's the difference between spot 1 and spot 2, flow and light intensity wise? Is it getting less light and less flow on the second spot? I just got some duncans from my brother. He said it had been retracted for weeks, and let me have it to see if it would do better in my setup. It was under high flow and high light in his tank. In mine, its in low flow and lower light, and its starting to expand. Not as much as I've seen in other pics, but looks like its recovering.

I have 250w mh's and have to shade my Duncans a bit for them to be happy. Same with most LPS in my tank. Also feed them daily and they will grow like crazy.
