rock setup
how much rock is ideal to keep in a 56 gallon salt water tank? and if anyone can help me out w/ good ways to set it up i wud love it. my dimensions are 30l x 12w x 24h. so if anyone can help me out with a good setup in that dimension tank, that would b great. i would like to set it up in a way that will give fish good hiding places as well as good room to swim.

1-1.5 lbs of lr per gallon is what people generally use. Everyone likes arranging their rock differently. Just look in peoples galleries and in the build threads and get some ideas. There are plenty of different configurations to give you some ideas on what appeals to you.

I buy some rock and put it in the tank. Step back and look and see how the rock is thare is one one ever the same. Just make sure there are put in a way that they will not fall over. Heavy ones on bottom as big, smaller , little. till you like it.
I go to photo gallery here and click on some to get a idea. http://reefcentral.com/gallery/showg...?cat=1&thumb=1 |
