pH pen monitors worth the lower price?

I see on bulkreefsupply they have really affordable pen pH monitors. They are so much cheaper than the other pH monitors. So, am I missing something or are these just junk?

I have the exact same model and it works fine. However, I have to calibrate it every 1-2 weeks.

Reefer, is that as per the instructions, or do you just somehow know it goes outta whack? Also, do you have to keep the tip in water when not in use?
