Question Can some type of ferric oxide be used in my 160gph canister filter??

I'm thinking that there will be too much flow to run granular ferric oxide in my marineland c-160. Bulk Reef Supply has pellet ferric oxide - can that be used?

Most definitely, in a filter bag in the canister. I would use the pellet less dust.

I've used the Dr F&S PhosPure GFO in a C160, Ran it in a filter bag in the middle tray with GAC in the top and bottom trays. The PhosPure is fine powder and I didn't have any problem. The pellet style would be fine as well.
