aquarium stand enough?
i have a typical 75 gallon fowlr set up. my stand, which i have had 3 years now only supports the aquarium on the perimeter. the top of the stand does not have a solid top. maybe it's just me, but is this enough support? i don't know why i am freaking out since it has been fine for 3 years now...

If it has been working for 3 yrs, there's no reason to change anything. But I, personally would get a new stand that has a solid surface. It would make me sleep better at nights.

ive used a plwood sheet w/ 1/2"foam board under 90's and 125's and ive also used perimeter support only under the same.currently i have a sheet of plywood under my 125g but it still doesnt support the whole bottom.
if you look the bottom, the plastic frame is about 1/2 lower around the perimeter so the 'central' glass isnt supported by anything.most setups dont even use foam board and i havent heard anything about bad experiences, so IMO i think your fine.

Most glass tanks (( with the plastic trim around them )) are only suppose to be supported by the outside rim.
Both the stands for my 75 and 58 only have the outside rim. The 75 is 12+ years old and the 58 8+ year --- no issues at all. In fact the stand for the 58 has to only support the outside, since that tank is reef ready.
