^^^me too.
and yes i do own 40 towels. My mom for whatever reason likes to buy me new towels for xmas. So I get 4 more every year. I've lived on my own for 6 years now so thats 24 of them. The rest I've bought or came with buckets of salt. None of them are really worn out tho since I have so many. Good thing I had them this morning tho! I have a waterbug'ish device, called a flood stopper i think, that I might try to hook up. It's basically an actuated valve that connects to microprocessor. Also connected is a water sensor. When the water sensor trips the system closes the valve and shuts off the water. Problem is the damn valve is like 1.25". It's designed for the main water supply in a house. I used to install them in people $$$$$$ vacation homes so they didn't show up one summer to a million plus in damages. |

I think the mechanical float valve I have in my RO tank cost around $6. Cheap peace of mind. Doesn't shut the water off but prevents floods.

You know what...u guys are funny, i dont see any women talking about forgetting to shut the water off, knock on wood, (i'm a woman) and i've never done this (in 6 years). Now i do slosh, dip, and spill water (not strong enough) sometimes, but i'm the one cleaning it up soooo, no one else can fuss. So for all you men the CORRECT answer is "Honey don't worry about a thing, I'll clean that right up AND is there anything i can do for you around the house!" LOLOLOLOLOL If that doesn't help you guys are doing something wrong.

Oh don't worry, we ARE the one cleaning it up. You think I'm going to TRY and tell my lady to clean up my fishtank water? You're crazy.
We are just in here moaning about it and brainstorming ways to remember better with others that have the same problem. We CERTAINLY don't vent about it to our significant others. NEVER show weakness! ![]() The best solution for me ever was to have the ATO tub 25 gallons and sitting in the laundry room where there was tile and drains in the floor. Overflows meant nothing and were just laughed about as I pushed the water around with a squeegee down the drain.
