please i.d this reddish brown slimey stuff on my sand
im starting to get this reddish brown stuff on my sand..how do i get rid of it.. do i increase the flow??

prolly red algea. suck it out. do you you have an ro/di system? how many powerheads is in your tank? how often do you do water changes? has your tank gone through it's cycle?

Cyano. Good flow, underfeeding, good maintenance, and good skimming prevent this. Occasionally blue legged hermits eat it. Don't count on it though. Figure our what you did wrong and correct it. It is usually overfeeding and improper flow.

Well i had an ich outbreak and took all the fish out to quarantine them thats when i noticed that stuff appearing im just gonna try an scoop that entire section out.. The tank is a 150gal i have 2 koralia 4s and a rio 2100 for flow

That is good flow for a 150. If this stuff comes back then you will need to start digging deep.
