ATO & feeder recommendation
I'd appreciate some recommendations for auto water top off and also an auto fish feeder. I'll be going on a 2-week vacation near the end of the summer and I've only done these manually to date. I already have a reservoir that will hold enough water for that long.

I recommend the autotopoff.com floats with an aqualifter pump, durable and reliable and for the feeder go eheim, best there is IMO. Hope that helps, Wiz

JBJ ATO'S are great and reliable. What are you going to do about your protein skimmer cup filling up.?

I did the research on auto feeder and it seems pretty unanimous that the eheim auto feeder won out. I am so convince, I went and bought one yesterday even though I am not going on vacation until August.

That's an excellent question...I'm glad you asked! Uhhh... My previous skimmer, an old Amiracle, is rigged to drain into a bottle so that the cup never fills up. It figures I'd forget about that wonderful feature when I upgraded to the ASM. I'm open to ideas. If all else fails, I'll take the Amiracle out of retirement. |
